Hello friends,

Are you looking for working with Windows XP and Windows Vista both operating system at the same time ??  I like to use both but i faced a problem when i install Windows XP inside Windows Vista. The problem is with many software which does not supports in both operating system. Finally i found the solution that how to install Windows XP within Windows Vista in a way that both operating system supports all softwares.

Below are the steps. Follow this steps, comment me if you found any problem.

Step 1:
You can install Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 directly from Official Microsoft website ( www.microsoft.com/windows/products/winfamily/virtualpc ). Install it with default options and it will install in few minutes. Once installation complete, Launch Virtual PC and click on Settings to configure your first Virtual Machine. This can get complicated as you are able to define everything what your Windows XP installation have. Click File name and call this Virtual Machine something like “My XP PC”. Now select Memory option and set your Virtual Machine to use 256 MB or half your PC’s memory (whichever is minimum) . Click OK once you complete this.
Step 2:
1) Insert Windows XP CD in the drive
2) Click start in the Virtual PC console window
3) Window will show your Virtual Machine as it boots.
4) Press Enter to choose the “Setup Windows XP now” and work through the installation.
Step 3:
When Setup has completed, your Virtual Machine window will contain a complete Windows XP desktop.
It looks like small. To make it as larger screen follow the below step.
1) Right click on desktop.
2) Click on Properties
3) Click on Settings tab
4) Choose larger resolution
Step 4:
Click Action and Install or Update Virtual Machine Additions in the Virtual Machine window. Follow the instructions to complete the setup process. Let the Virtual Machine reboot If it is not – you don’t need to reboot your PC. You now have an Windows XP installation running inside the Virtual Machine window on your Vista desktop.
Let me know your comments for the same. Enjoy.
