Mobile Industry has announced Universal Charger for all Mobile Phones

In Mobile World Congress 2009 at Barcelona , all leading mobile phone manufactures are agreed to produce a universal charger for all mobile phone.
“This is a broad agreement that will move the industry to a single, energy-efficient charger for all mobile phones,” said Michael O’Hara, marketing director for the GSM Association (GSMA).
This universal charger is of mini-USB port and you can use it for any mobile phone. Most of mobile companies will manufacture Mobiles with the port by 2012 which will compatible with New universal Charger.
Here are the companies that are agreed to produces mobile phones compatible with this new charger.
Nokia , Motorola , Samsung , LG , Sony Ericsson , Orange , 3 Group, AT&T, KTF, mobilkom austria , Vodafone , Telenor , Telecom Italia, Telefónica, Telstra, Qualcomm and T-Mobile.

Won’t that be great when we don’t have to go running around like a chicken with it’s head cut off when we misplace a charger? Just ask a friend instead. Too bad Apple and Palm aren’t joining in.
